  • What do I need to know about ordering mosaic supplies online?

A) We do not backorder. Please ensure you order enough materials to complete your project. Colour lots vary between tile shipments. We cannot guarantee the exact tile colour you need will be available at a later date.

B) Product prices are in Canadian dollars. For U.S. shipments, please note we are not responsible for duties.

C) Canadian customers are charged the tax for their respective province.

D) Orders are shipped on Saturdays via Canada Post.We do not charge handling fees. 

E) If an item is out of stock we will refund it and ship available items.

F) We accept credit cards and PayPal for online orders. You may also send a cheque, money order, or Interac debit (email) transfer with your order. If paying by cheque, your order will be shipped once the cheque clears (this can take approximately 5-10 business days).

 

  • What is the difference between a class and open studio?

The Intro to Mosaic Art classes are ideal for those who are just starting out in their mosaic art adventure or prefer to work with more guidance. You will learn about bases/substrates, types of glass and tiles, adhesives and grout, basic tools, simple design choices, and receive instruction on tile cutting and placement. Class fees include ALL materials, tools, and safety gear needed.

The Open Studio sessions are ideal for those who are already familiar with mosaic tools and materials, and just need a comfortable and well equipped space in which to work independently (although this is not a class, we are always happy to provide suggestions!). Open studio users provide their own bases, tools and materials or purchase them at the studio. If open studio users wish to have full access to the studio's shared tools, materials, and safety gear, they may purchase this upgrade at a rate of $25 per square foot. (Bases are purchased separately.)

Both options are 2.5 hours in length.

  • How can I sign up for a class or open studio session?

To sign up for a class or open studio session, click the "Book Online Now" button on the "Classes" or "Open Studio" page. If you have not used our booking system before, you will need to create a new user account. In the calendar, find your preferred date and time and click "New Reservation". Enter the required information and click "Create Reservation". You may cancel and/or reschedule your reservation up to 24 hours before the class start time.

  • Can I leave my in progress project at the studio?

 

Yes, you can store your project in the studio. Please note projects left unclaimed for more than 1 year will be considered abandoned and disposed of due to space restraints. 

Update: Studio closing November 25, 2017. Please pick up projects by this date. Anything left past this date will be disposed of. 

 

  • What is the refund and exchange policy?

We will gladly exchange defective merchandise for the same item, within 14 days of purchase.

For online purchases, please email or call to notify us of the issue. You will need to send back the defective item (you will receive a store credit for the shipping costs). Once we receive it, we will send you a replacement (free shipping).

Sorry, no refunds on products, classes, or open studio sessions. Classes expire 1 year from purchase.

  • What is the class and open studio session cancellation policy?

Classes or open studio sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled with minimum 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no shows will result in losing the class or being charged the $25 class/open studio fee. If a class or open studio session needs to be cancelled due to unforseen circumstances, we will refund the fee or give you a credit, whichever you prefer.

  • What is the workshop cancellation policy?

More than 21 days notice: Full refund.

14 - 21 days notice: 50% of the fee is forfeit, 50% of the fee can be applied towards another workshop or store credit.

Less than 14 days notice: Entire fee is forfeit. This ensures that we are able to compensate our guest artist instructors and that last minute cancellations do not affect the class and disappoint other participants. This deposit cannot be applied towards future classes or store credit. We suggest finding someone who can take your place if you must cancel with less than 14 days notice.

In the event that a workshop is cancelled, your full payment will be refunded.
